Core bottle
Before the first use
Remove the red cap first
Your Core arrives with a red cap fitted. Take it off before you use the bottle for the first time.
Unscrew the lid and fill the bottle with filtered or purified still water. It holds 300 ml.
Close the lid and press the button on the touchscreen to start the cycle.
The cycle takes under 5 minutes. Drink the water soon after it has finished.
Rinse the bottle with warm water after use and charge it with the USB-C cable when the battery runs low.
Good to know: Use only plain drinking water in the bottle. Sparkling water, juice and other drinks don't belong in it.
Pulse bottle
Before the first use
Remove the red cap first
Your Pulse arrives with a red cap fitted. Take it off before you use the bottle for the first time.
Fill the 280 ml borosilicate glass chamber with plain still drinking water. Mineral water, sparkling water and other drinks don't belong in it.
Press the button once for the 5 minute mode, which reaches about 4,000 ppb, or twice for the 10 minute mode with up to 8,000 ppb.
Drink the water within 30 minutes of the end of the cycle.
Rinse the bottle with warm water after each use.
Charge it with the USB-C cable. A full charge takes about 2 hours and is enough for roughly 15 to 20 cycles.
Good to know: Once a month, descale the electrodes with a rinse of diluted citric acid.
If your Pulse doesn't switch on, watch this short video. It shows the fix step by step, and if the bottle still doesn't start afterwards, write to us.
Watch the fixH2 tablets
Fill a glass or a bottle with about 500 ml of still water.
Drop in one tablet and let it dissolve, which takes about 2 to 3 minutes.
Drink the water once the tablet has fully dissolved.
Close the jar tightly after each use so moisture stays out.
Good to know: Each tablet also contains 80 mg of magnesium. You don't need to charge or clean anything.
NOVA pitcher
Before the first use
Remove the red cap first
Your NOVA arrives with a red cap fitted. Take it off before you use the pitcher for the first time.
Fill the pitcher with filtered or tap water, up to 2 litres.
Press the button on the base to start the 10 minute cycle. The blue light means hydrogen is being produced.
Pour and drink within 30 minutes of the end of the cycle.
Hand-wash the pitcher with warm water and mild soap. Wipe the base with a damp cloth and never put it under water.
Charge the base with the USB-C cable from the box when it needs power.
Good to know: Run the self-cleaning mode about once a week. Press and hold the button and the green light shows the 3 minute cleaning cycle.
Faucet filters
Every model fits a little differently, so pick yours below. The steps follow the product guide for each one.
These models fit round spouts with a removable aerator. Pull-out spray heads, sensor taps and square spouts are not suitable. If you are unsure, email a photo of your tap to info@gethydrion.com.
Unscrew the aerator from the end of your tap by hand, or with the adapter wrench from the box.
Pick the adapter that matches your tap from the 8 in the box. They cover male and female threads.
Check that the built-in washer sits flat inside the filter connector.
Screw the filter onto the adapter by hand and snug it with the wrench. If the joint drips, wrap the adapter thread with the plumber's tape.
Before your first glass, let the water run through the filter for about a minute.
Rotate the lower ring to switch between the strong jet for rinsing and the soft bubble stream for drinking. The spout swivels 360° so you can point it where you need it.
Change the cartridge when it starts to darken behind the clear housing, usually after about 30 days. Unscrew the base, put in a fresh cartridge and screw it back on. The box includes 8 cartridges.
Replacement cartridge for this model
Good to know: Use it with tap water between 5 and 38 °C and a water pressure of 1 to 6.9 bar.
Unscrew the aerator from the end of your tap.
Check the thread on your tap. The included adapters fit an external thread of 20 to 22 mm or an internal thread of 24 mm.
Screw the matching adapter onto the tap and check that its rubber washer sits flat.
Screw the filter onto the adapter by hand until it feels firm, then open the tap and check for drips.
Before your first glass, let the filtered water run for about a minute.
Turn the lever to filtered water for drinking and cooking, or to regular tap water for washing up. Using filtered water only when you need it makes the cartridge last longer.
Replace the cartridge after 3 months or 1,211 litres, whichever comes first. A replacement cartridge is available in our shop.
Replacement cartridge for this model
Good to know: It delivers filtered water at up to 1.9 litres per minute and is made for municipally treated cold tap water.
Unscrew the aerator from the end of your tap.
Pick the matching adapter. The box has 4 adapters that cover 7 connection sizes.
Check that the rubber washer sits flat in the connector.
Screw the head onto your tap by hand and snug it up with the included wrench. Add the plumber's tape to the thread if the joint drips.
Open the tap and check the connection for leaks.
Switch between the pressurised jet and the soft bubble stream, then turn the two joints to aim the water at any angle.
Good to know: Use it with water between 5 and 38 °C and a water pressure of 1 to 6.9 bar.
Check that your tap has a round spout with a removable aerator, then unscrew the aerator.
Compare the exposed thread with the filter fitting and check that there is enough room around the sink and the tap controls.
Make sure the rubber washer sits flat in the connector, then screw the filter on by hand as shown in the supplied instructions.
Turn the water on gently and check the connection for leaks. Then let filtered water run for about a minute.
Use the side selector to choose an outlet. Filtered sends water through the carbon cartridge, and Original bypasses it for washing dishes.
The round display shows the water temperature in the centre and the filter life on the outer arc. It runs on the water flow, so there are no batteries to change.
When the arc shows the cartridge is nearly used up, usually after about three months, turn the housing to open it, swap the cartridge and close it. Run filtered water for about a minute and reset the filter-life display.
Replacement cartridge for this model
Good to know: This model does not fit pull-out spray heads or square spouts.
Unscrew the aerator and compare the tap connection with the filter connector.
Check that the 64 × 105 × 136 mm body fits around the spout, the sink and the tap controls.
Make sure the rubber washer sits flat, then screw the filter on by hand and check the connection for leaks.
Before your first glass, let filtered water run for about a minute.
Use the chrome side selector by hand to switch between filtered and regular water. The filter needs no electricity.
Replace the cartridge about every six months, or sooner if the flow slows down. Unscrew the top of the white housing, swap the cartridge and close it by hand. The housing stays on your tap.
Replacement cartridge for this model
Good to know: Use cold, treated tap water at a pressure of 1 to 4 bar and no warmer than 38 °C. The rated flow is 1.2 litres per minute.
RO600 reverse osmosis
Everything from unpacking to the first glass, plus how to read the display and change the cartridges. Set aside about 30 minutes and keep a towel under the sink while you work.
Connect the RO600 to the cold water line only, between 4 and 38°C and 1.4 to 5.5 bar. Always open the water supply first and connect the power last.
Close the cold water angle valve and disconnect the cold water hose from it.
Screw the 3-way feed valve onto the angle valve with its O ring in place. For a 1/2 inch connection use the converter first.
Reconnect the cold water hose to the top of the feed valve.
Soften one end of the white 3/8 inch tube in hot water for 5 seconds, push it through the nut into the feed valve and tighten by hand plus a quarter turn.
Remove the plugs from the ports on the back of the unit, except the one marked DO NOT USE.
Push the other end of the 3/8 inch tube about 2 cm into the SUPPLY port and add the lock clip.
Choose a spot on the vertical part of the waste pipe, above the trap.
Stick the black seal to the saddle, drill a 6 mm hole through one side of the pipe only and screw the saddle over it.
Push the red 1/4 inch tube about 3.5 cm into the saddle, lock it with a clip, then connect its other end to the WASTE port.
Use the existing hole or drill a 12 mm hole in the sink or countertop (up to 3.85 cm thick).
Fit the faucet with its rubber washer on top and tighten the fixing underneath by hand.
Connect the white 1/4 inch tube from the FILTERED port to the faucet with the quick fitting.
Open the angle valve and the feed valve and check every connection for drips.
Plug the power adapter into the POWER port. The unit beeps, lights up for 3 seconds and flushes for 30 seconds.
Open the faucet fully and let it run for 20 minutes before drinking the first water.
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| TDS number | Dissolved solids in your filtered water, measured after 30 seconds of running |
| Filter light white or blue | The cartridge is working normally |
| Filter light flashing red | Less than 5% of that cartridge's life is left |
| Filter light steady red, buzzer | The cartridge is due, replace it |
| All lights flashing blue | The system is flushing |
| All lights flashing red | Protection mode after 30 minutes of running, or a fault |
Unplug the unit and open the faucet to release the pressure.
Remove the front cover, turn the cartridge anticlockwise and pull it out.
Push in the new cartridge and turn it clockwise until it stops. Refit the cover and reconnect the power.
Hold Reset for 3 seconds, press Reset to select the cartridge you changed, then hold Reset for 3 seconds again until it beeps and turns blue.
Run the faucet for 10 minutes after a PPC or TC change and for 20 minutes after a membrane change.
Reset the wrong filter by mistake? Hold Reset and Flush together for 3 seconds within 5 minutes to undo it.
| Cartridge | Replace about every |
|---|---|

Screw the TAM3 bracket to the cabinet wall next to the RO600.
Cut the white tube between the FILTERED port and the faucet and connect both ends to the TAM3, following the arrows from SUPPLY to FILTERED.
Run the faucet for 5 minutes. The minerals it adds make the TDS reading rise a little, which is expected.
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| No water from the faucet | Check that the power adapter is connected and that the angle valve, feed valve and faucet are open |
| Low flow | Check for kinked tubes, low water pressure or a cartridge that is due |
| Water tastes or reads poorly | Run the faucet for 5 minutes after the unit has stood for 2 days or more, and replace any cartridge that is due |
| Unit keeps running after the faucet is closed | Check that the FILTERED and WASTE tubes are in the right ports and that the water supply is on |
| Leak at a fitting | Push the tube fully in, check the lock clip and the O rings, then contact us if it continues |
| Lights flash red and the buzzer sounds | Unplug for 10 seconds; if it returns, check for leaks and contact us |

Shower heads
Unscrew your old shower head from the hose or the shower pipe.
Check that the sealing washer sits in place, then tighten the new head by hand.
Turn on the water and check the connection for leaks.
Wipe the head with a soft cloth now and then, and keep the spray holes clear. Abrasive cleaners can mark the finish.
Good to know: Write down the date you fitted the cartridge. Most of our shower cartridges last around three months, depending on your water and how often you shower.

Leak detector
This guide follows the SMART-HYDRION owner's manual. Read it through once before you start, because the order of the steps matters.
Check every part for damage first. Then set up the whole system on a table, pair the sensor and connect the app, and make sure the sensor really closes the valve. Only then fit the valve to your pipe.
Use two new AAA 1.5 V alkaline batteries from a known brand.
Rechargeable and zinc batteries are not suitable, and old and new batteries should never be mixed.
Remove the screws, lift off the cover, insert the batteries and screw the cover back on firmly so the seal closes.
A beep with both lights on for 3 seconds confirms that the batteries are in correctly.
Place the valve and the sensor close to each other and plug in the valve's power cord first.
Put the batteries into the sensor.
Hold the sensor button for 3 seconds until it beeps and the green light blinks fast, then let go.
On the valve, hold Settings and Valve control together for 3 seconds.
A short beep confirms the pairing. The sensor icon on the valve's screen stays lit and shows how many sensors are paired.
Test it on water: Lay the sensor flat on a water surface, such as a shallow tray. The valve should close by itself. Water has to touch two neighbouring probes for the alarm to start.
Download Smart Life from the App Store or Google Play and create an account.
Plug in the valve, then hold Protect and Query together for 5 seconds. The valve beeps and the Wi-Fi icon starts flashing.
Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone.
In the app, tap the plus sign in the top right corner, choose Add Device and follow the steps.
The valve works with 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. If pairing fails, move the valve closer to the router and check that it is still in pairing mode.
Install the valve on the main water supply, after the water meter, the main shutoff valve and the pressure reducing valve.
If you have a whole-house water filter, the valve goes before it.
We recommend a bypass pipe with its own valve, so you keep your water supply during maintenance.
Clean the pipes before fitting and make sure the arrow on the valve points in the direction the water flows.
Hold Protect for 5 seconds to turn leak monitoring on or off.
Hold Valve control for 5 seconds to open or close the valve by hand.
On the sensor, double-press the button within one second to change the volume from low to medium to high to mute.
Press the sensor button briefly now and then. It wakes up and reports its status, which is a quick way to check it still works.
On the sensor, press the button once to mute the sound. Take the sensor out of the water and wipe it dry to reset it.
On the valve, hold Protect for 5 seconds to clear the alarm.
Then hold Protect for another 5 seconds to switch protection back on.
If you skip the last step, protection stays off and the valve does not watch for leaks.
Use the 1" to 3/4" adapters with the washers. Do not use tape on the 3/4" adapters.
Connect the valve directly and wrap the 1" thread with plumber's tape.
The positions to avoid can trap air bubbles in the pipe, which makes the flow readings less accurate.
Run a leak test: Turn off every tap and appliance in the house, open the Smart Life app and tap Leak Test.
| Light | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Red and green on for 3 seconds | Batteries installed and powered |
| Green blinks fast for 3 seconds | Pairing mode |
| Red and green blink for 3 seconds | The sensor is unpaired from the valve |
| Green blinks twice quickly | The alarm volume has changed |
| Red blinks for 3 seconds every 5 seconds | Water detected, leak alarm |
| Red blinks for 15 seconds every 6 hours | Batteries are low, please replace them |
| Green blinks once | The sensor woke up and sent its status |
| Code | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| E0 | Power supply failure because the battery is low | Connect the power adapter and charge it straight away |
| E1 | Empty pipe: there is no water in the pipe, or air bubbles are trapped in it | Run water through the pipes and open a tap fully to push the air out |
| E2 | The flow direction setting is the opposite of the real flow | Switch the flow direction as described above |
| E3 | Flow rate too high because the water pressure is too high | Have the water pressure in your pipes adjusted |
| E4 | Temperature sensor fault | Contact our support team |
| E5 | Valve fault, often because dirt is blocking it | Hold Valve control a few times, and contact us if the code stays |
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| The screen buttons don't respond | Check that the valve is plugged in, then contact us if it still doesn't react |
| The app can't find the valve | Put the valve back in pairing mode, turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, connect the phone to your home Wi-Fi and use the latest Smart Life app |
| The sensor doesn't react after you insert batteries | Use new AAA alkaline batteries and check they are the right way round and fully seated |
| No water comes out | Open the valve and check your water supply |
| Water leaks at a connection | Check the washer is in place, tighten the connection, reseat or replace the o-ring and use tape where the guide allows it |
| The app often loses the connection | Move the router closer to the valve or clear what stands between them, and check your home network |
| The sensor shows offline | Check its batteries and the distance to the valve, then pair it again |
| No alarm when the sensor touches water | Two neighbouring probes must be under water, so try again |
| An alarm without any water | Check for humidity, clean the probes and test again |
