The Hydrion TAM3 is an inline alkaline stage you fit after a reverse osmosis system. It gives purified RO water back some of the minerals the membrane takes out and lifts its pH above 7.5.
Because it adds minerals, the TDS reading after the TAM3 is higher than straight after the membrane. That is expected.
The TAM3 connects with 1/4 inch quick-connect tubing, so it suits the Hydrion Purity RO600 and most other reverse osmosis systems. The auto shut-off head lets you change the cartridge without turning off the water, and the cartridge twists in by hand.
One cartridge supplies about 3,400 to 3,800 litres of mineralised water, which is around 12 months in a typical household.
